With literally hundreds of Juniors and adults going through our coaching programmes every year no wonder we at KMP Tennis take pride in our quality of coaching and customer care. We have programmes to suit all standards and extensive experience in coaching all levels of tennis players.
With our excellent coaching facilities in Dulwich Lawn Tennis Club you are just one step away from enjoying a great club atmosphere and a memorable coaching experience.
KMP Tennis together with Dulwich Sports Club would like to carry on the Paralympic legacy by inspiring people with a disability to play tennis. We would like to give everyone a chance to discover their “TennisAbility”.
Having looked into finding the nearest venue, we realised that there was currently no tennis club in Southwark offering Disability tennis, which has motivated us even more to get involved. We are very passionate about tennis and feel it should be available to everyone in our community.
Tennis, like all sports, provides more than just an opportunity to play. It can help to improve mobility, co-ordination, fitness and provides interaction with others both on and off the court.
So at the end of 2012 KMP Tennis created the new programme “TennisAbility” with the sole aim of providing everyone with a disability the opportunity to experience the game of tennis. Our main objectives are for players to enjoy participating in the game and to develop/enhance skills for life, be given the opportunity to play at local community clubs and also to enter local, regional and national competitions/events.
Dulwich Lawn Tennis Club is a section of Dulwich Sports Club which was founded in 1867.
We have 5 all-weather hard courts (3 with floodlights) and there are 6 grass courts which are normally in use until late October. Coaching is offered to all levels in a structured programme from the club’s resident professional coaching staff.
The ground is situated by the railway arches on Burbage Road, between Herne Hill and Dulwich Village. With excellent facilities for cricket, croquet and squash, as well as tennis, our large club house overlooks the cricket pitch and croquet lawns. Its facilities include a fully licensed bar with Sky Sports, a pool table and table-tennis table, changing rooms and showers. The club offers tennis to players both young and old, and of all abilities – from those new to the game, to players competing in National Leagues. Most importantly the club is known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Dulwich Junior Tennis Academy:
